Aetherglow's very first litter has arrived! After going into the first stage of labour on Thursday evening, Tarja kept us in suspense for a very long, hot 24 hours before finally delivering five very healthy boys. They are all black and tan, which was a bit of a surprise, and this is a first for dad Louis, who has up until now has produced lots of lovely daughters, but not many sons. Tarja was very tired by the time she gave birth to her last baby, but is recovering well and once again is proving to be a fine mum, settling right into feeding and cleaning without a hitch. All the boys are well, and have had no problem figuring out the one thing they are supposed to do right now, which is drink milk!

Many many thanks to our friends Jacq, owner of Louis, who came to help out at the whelping, Mel who helped keep an eye on Tarja during the day, Shareen and Sarah who provided valuable phone and internet support, Don who helped set up in preparation, made hot drinks and acted as scout nurse during the whelping, and provided support, and Anne who has also provided general support and help.
